PDP calls for state wide Black day tomorrow

Talking to reporters at the airport, Madani said that PDP workers should not create a law and order situation in the state in connection with his arrest.

'No one should try to create communal divide over the issue, he added. PDP Working Chairman Punthura Siraj said protest demonstrations and meetings would be held in different parts of the state as part of black day.

Siraj alleged that injustice was done to Madani as he was arrested and taken to Bangalore while he was preparing to surrender before a magistrate court in the state. The case was a fabricated one with an objective to destory Madani and his institution, he said.

A large number of PDP workers protested in front of the main gate of the airport here when Madani was brought from his camp at Anwarssery in Kollam for taking to Bangalore.

Heavy police force were deployed at the airport as part of security arrangements at the airport.

Madani was shifted to Police jeep while on his way from Anwarssery to Thiruvananthapuram,as Madani's vehicle in which he was brought from Ansarssery, broke down on the way.

Madani would be taken to Bangalore in a private airline flight from here at 19.40 hrs.
