Sex CD scandal: Main accused Murarka gets bail

The main accused in the Chhattisgarh sex CD scandal and former BJP leader Kailash Murarka was granted bail by the Special CBI court in Raipur on Wednesday.

Murarka appeared before the special court of Sumit Kapoor in the Raipur District Court premises, and was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. One more accused, Vijay Pandya, is yet to appear in court.

The CBI named Murarka as the main accused in the charge sheet filed on Monday, for accepting Rs 75 lakh for making the "fake" CD. BJP state president Dharamlal Kaushik had expelled him from the primary membership of the party after he was named as main accused.

The charge sheet also names Bhupesh Baghel, Vinod Verma, Vijay Bhatia, Rinku Khanuja (deceased) and Vijay Pandya as accused.

Talking to media, Kailash said that he had been betrayed by BJP top leadership and would expose them one by one. He said he had faith in the judiciary and would respect the court's orders.
