Noted historian M G S Narayanan and eleven other prominent persons have imposed a penalty of Rs. 1,300 each by a local court at Kozhikode in North Kerala on Thursday for blocking the national highway.
The roadblock was staged on July 29 at Kozhikode demanding a widening of a stretch. The court observed that stirs blocking roads caused inconvenience to the general public and affected right to freedom of movement.
