Amid a spurt of Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region, 229 students, four teachers and staff in a school and hostel have tested positive for the fatal coronavirus in Washim district.

The cases are from a school and hostel at Degaon in Risod tehsil of Washim.

Washim’s collector Shanmugarajan S visited Risod and reviewed the situation.

Washim district officials said that the cases were reported in the last two to three days.
