Maharashtra: NCP MP Supriya Sule's saree catches fire at event; no injuries

NCP leader Supriya Sule’s saree caught fire during the inauguration ceremony of an event in Pune on Sunday.

“There is nothing to panic…I am safe and okay,” said Sule, the MP from Baramati and daughter of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar.

The incident took place in Hinjewadi, where she inaugurated a karate competition. She was garlanding a statue of legendary Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj after lighting a lamp when the incident took place.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media platforms.
