Last Updated 18 March 2019, 06:39 IST

A day after his statement on MPs duty to fulfil citizen's wishes, Union Minister of State for Culture Mahesh Sharma launched a new tirade at Opposition leaders in Sikandarabad in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district. During a political rally, he asked the crowd "who will watch Mamata's Kathak and listen to Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy's song here?"

He went on attacking other leaders too referring Rahul Gandhi 'Pappu' and Priyanka Gandhi 'Pappi'. In a video shared by news agency ANI, the minister was talking to a small gathering comprising mainly villagers. He was pointing out to the inability of the Opposition to form a strong government at the Centre.

"Pappu kehta hai ki PM banunga,ab toh Pappu ki Pappi (Priyanka Gandhi) bhi aa gayi. Inse upar uth kar dekhna hai toh aaj humara sher Modi hai," (Pappu (Rahul Gandhi) says he will be PM. Now Pappi (Priyanka Gandhi) also came. If you look over them, Modi is our lion now) said Sharma, a BJP MP from Gautam Buddha Nagar.

On Saturday, Mahesh Sharma said how an MP can fulfil people's wishes when God himself cannot do so.
