<p>On my evening strolls, often I used to see this svelte and slightly rangy woman, selling steaming-hot pakoras, placed on her glass-paneled pushcart. Our visual communication translated into verbal, when recently she buttonholed me to blurt out her bottled up angst.<br /><br /></p>.<p>It seems, her son’s friend, staying at her place for several days, was looked after by her with singular love/care. One day, the guy divulged his dream of flying to Dubai, along with her son, provided she bankrolled for travel expenditure of Rs 2 lakh.<br /><br /> Visualising a vibrant future for her son, she did so, getting herself ensnared in debt trap. Now, after grabbing the great bucks, the guy has gone absconding leaving the grief-struck woman clueless about his whereabouts. <br /><br />Indeed, being cheated off our money is not an uncommon phenomenon. Often, we get diddled by swindlers, scamsters, silver-tongued hucksters, and such other super-brainy tricksters, who send us into a state of unspeakable shock.<br /><br /> It is more flummoxing and flustering, if the foul perpetrator, bilking us off our big money, happens to be someone, trusted implicitly. <br /><br />How do we deal with such deadly losses? Well, instead of bemoaning and getting our brain battered, the best way to look at it is by thinking that we have magnanimously contributed our mega bucks to a charity mission (for which maybe we’d be rewarded later)!Another way is to think in this tad bizarre lines! I had read somewhere, these major losses manage to avert a life-threatening mishap, happening to us. And that, it gets directed at our cheats, the miscreants, who try inviting/incurring our quota of suffering, what’d be previously ours!Yet another way of looking at the financial loss is by thinking whatever happens, does happen for the best, and that there is a strong Divine reason behind it. <br /><br />We can also think just as minor body ailments, buttress our body to buffer itself against bigger ailments; here too, these small losses shield us from suffering major losses in future. So, it’s penny foolish, pound wise!<br /><br />Finally, we can look at it as a lesson, well-learnt. Once cheated, countless times more cautious/careful!<br /></p>
