Speaking to mediapersons here on Sunday, he said there are several problems bothering the residents in connection with revenue department related issues in Dakshina Kannada district. “I have already discussed the issue with senior officials from the department. I was supposed to convene a high-level meeting in Mangaluru on Sunday. However, it has been postponed following the demise of Ambareesh.”

Under 94 CC of Land Revenue Act in urban areas, along with title deeds, khata is also issued to the beneficiaries. However, there is a problem in issuing khata along with the title deeds to the beneficiaries in rural areas, which will be sorted out.

The government has given administrative approval for the construction of buildings for the taluk offices. Tender process for the buildings are in progress. All the records related to the new taluks have been transferred.

The scheduled inauguration of Kadaba and Moodbidri taluks have been postponed for the second time, due to the sad demise of Ambareesh. Initially, it was proposed to inaugurate on August 15. However, it was postponed due to various reasons.

Condoling the death of actor turned politician Ambareesh, Deshpande said “the death of Ambareesh is a loss to the film industry and political sphere. He was a pillar of the film fraternity. He had great concern for the poor. We have lost one of the greatest leader.”

District in Charge Minister U T Khader said “the sad demise of Ambareesh is a loss to the state and nation. He was a connecting cord between film industry and the government.”
