“It’s really nice and humbling to be nominated for Comeback Player of the Year for the ATP,” Somdev was quoted as saying in the ATP website. “I know everyone who's been nominated for the award have had their share of difficulties to overcome and have worked incredibly hard to end 2013 the way they have. Personally I’m honoured and happy and can’t thank my coaches, family and friends enough for supporting me through the last couple years.
They mean the world to me.” Somdev, who touched the career high ranking of 62 in 2011, was pegged back by the right shoulder surgery in January 2012.
