A collective effort from Banglore Sports Cricket Club helped them eke out a three-run win over Zodiac Cricket Club in their KSCA Group-I, Division-V league-cum-knockout cricket tournament for the JB Mallaradhya Shield here on Monday.
Batting first, Bangalore Sports CC rode on good knocks from Hafeez (84), Prafull (67) and Aditya (43) to post a competitive total of 261 all out in 35.4 overs. Anil (3/61) and Manoj (3/46) took three wickets each for Zodiac.
In response, Zodiac CC produced an encouraging performance before being bowled out for 258 runs in 49.4 overs. Yoga, Aditya and Vinay scored 60 n.o., 59 and 55 runs respectively.
