Last Updated 26 April 2011, 16:36 IST

In an intense game between two equally matched teams at the Bala Gangadharanatha Swamy International Residential School ground, Santhosh Kumar put the home side ahead with a fine goal in the 10th minute. After a rather lacklustre show in the opening half, CRPF lads fought back after the interval, creating a couple good chances. But, lacking the composure upfront, they squandered the opportunities as Government Sports School held on. However, Mukesh then put the match in the balance, netting for CRPF on the half-hour mark as both teams deservedly split honours.

Muttasir Siddique slammed a brace as impressive Sukantha Nagar Vidhya Niketan, Kolkata crushed Don Bosco High School, Matunga 5-0. Bishal Harizan, Jayanto Mondal and Bishal Mallick scored one apiece for the Kolkatans.

St Joseph’s BHH School, Calicut played out a scoreless draw against Infant Jesus High School, Goa in the third match of the league competition.
