KOA elections to be held today

KOA president K Govindaraj is seeking re-election and his rival for the top post is M Seetharam, executive committee member of Karnataka Rajya Amateur Kabaddi Association.

KOA secretary-general Anantharaju, who is seeking another term in the office, faces Karnataka Athletic Association secretary Sathyanarayana. Apart from the president and general secretary posts, there will be election for treasurer, two joint secretaries, six vice-presidents and eight executive committee members.

Two members each from twenty sports associations, affiliated to the KOA, will get the chance to vote making the number of voters to 40. The results of the elections will not be announced due to a stay order from the High Court. However, the court has given permission to conduct the elections.
