Inaugural champions Jaipur Pink Panthers will take on holders Patna Pirates in the final of the Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 here at the Gachibowli Stadium on Sunday in what is expected to be a keen battle between two attack-minded teams.

Panthers may have been champions in 2014 but they flattered to decieve in the last two editions, failing to qualify for the semifinals after finishing fifth and sixth respectively.

However, led by star raider Jasvir Singh, the confident Panthers bounced back brilliantly this season to top the standings at the end of the league phase.

In the semifinals, they crushed Telugu Titans 34-24 to make a big statement ahead of the title clash.

“Both the teams are strong in raids which should make for an interesting final,” said Jasvir on Saturday. “So I feel whichever team can defend well on the day will emerge champions. We may have done well until now but all that counts for nothing.

Patna are strong but we are confident.”
Jasvir’s confidence is not misplaced. In the two times Panthers locked horns against Pirates, the former emerged victorious.
