A man reportedly ended his life by coming under a moving train in front of his father, here on Thursday. This incident took place at old Bagalkot railway gate.
The deceased is Parashuram Lamani (28), a resident of Gulbal tanda. He was serving as a lineman at Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company in Mysuru. He had taken leave and had come to his hometown to attend a marriage.
Parashuram and his father Rupalappa were riding on a bike, on their way to a marriage. As the railway gate was closed, they were waiting for the gate to open. In the meantime, Parashuram asked his father Rupalappa to hold the bike, rushed towards the gate and went under the moving train. It is said that Parashuram was playing the Blue Whale game. However, his father has denied this.
