Last Updated 24 October 2017, 11:22 IST

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said it is not wrong to go temple after consuming meat.

A controversy has erupted over the reports that the chief minister visited the Dharmasthala temple after consuming fish, during his visit to Mangaluru on Sunday.

Replying to a question by the reporters in Dharwad on Monday, the chief minister wanted to know which God had issued a fiat against consuming meat. “Even Bedara Kannappa had offered meat to Lord Shiva,” he said.
