A day after insisting on the establishment of a technical university in Hassan, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Tuesday made a U-turn by stating that there was no such proposal before the government.
On Tuesday, the chief minister’s office released a statement ruling out bifurcation of VTU. “There is no proposal to bifurcate VTU. The chief minister has said that his statement on the previous day has been misunderstood. Hassan will be developed as an education centre,” it read.
