Bhaskar Shetty murder case trial on

The suspects in the murder of businessman Bhaskar Shetty - his wife Rajeshwari Shetty, his son Navneeth Shetty and an astrologer Niranjan Bhat - were produced before the District and Sessions Court on Monday amid tight security.

Special Public Prosecutor Shantharam Shetty told Deccan Herald that the chief examination of the first Investigating Officer, Girish, and others was done and the case has been postponed for cross-examination by the defense on July 17.

The defense will examine the mother of Bhaskar, Gulabi Shetty, after the cross-examination of the Investigating Officer is completed.

The suspects are currently being lodged in Mangaluru jail.
