Deve Gowda family casts vote at Padavalahippe

Former prime minister and JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda, along with his family members, cast his vote at Padavalahippe poll-ing booth, near here, on Saturday.

Deve Gowda was accompanied by his wife Chennamma, son and MLA H D Revanna, daughter-in-law and ZP candidate from Halekote constituency Bhavani Revanna, grandsons Suraj and Prajwal Revanna.

Before casting the vote, the family offered pooja at Kodandaramaswami temple. Speaking to reporters, Deve Gowda said, he had been casting his vote in Padavalahippe polling booth since he was eligible to vote. Voting is our right and everyone should exercise it for the sake of the country.

Replying to a query, Gowda said, “In my political career, I have seen many elections. No election results will have impact on other elections”.

Bhavani Revanna said, this time JD(S) would come to power in the Zilla Panchayat. The party will win in more than 30 constituencies in the district, she said.
