Members of the Madiga community staged a protest against the district administration for not observing the 32nd death anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram, in front of the leader’s statue near Indira Smaraka Bhavan (Town Hall) on Friday.
The protesters, who formed human chain, raised slogans against the district administration.
Following the protest, the district administration was seen making hurried arrangements to officially observe the anniversary of the leader.
