JOIN USKodagu District Superintendent of Police P Rajendra Prasad said that it is our foremost duty to remember Dr B R Ambedkar, who worked towards the progress of downtrodden communities.
He was speaking during the 127th birth anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar, organised by Dalit Sangharsha Samiti at Kaveri Kala Kshetra in Madikeri on Sunday.
Ambedkar worked towards eliminating the superstitious beliefs associated with the downtrodden.
He also provided them with opportunities to get an education. We should all work together to bring the dream of Ambedkar into reality, added the SP.
DySP Sundarraj opined that the government facilities should reach every villager.
Clothes were distributed to the inmates of Shreeshakthi old age home.
DSS district coordinator H L Diwakar and Madikeri Dr Ambedkar Bhavan President H M Nandakumar were present among others.
