A youth from Bukkambudhi village in Ajjampura taluk who is stranded at Manasarovar informed his family members on Tuesday evening that he is safe at a military camp.

B N Darshan (28), son of Nanjundamurthy and Uma, has reportedly told his family members that as it is raining heavily, his phone is switched off. He has promised to contact them again shortly.

Darshan had left on the Amarnath Yatra from Bengaluru on June 21 and had promised to return after 12 days. The family members were worried as he could not be reached after July 1. On July 1, he informed them that he would be leaving for Adi Kailas.

Darshan has been residing in Yelahanka layout in Bengaluru for the last three years and was working as a priest at the Vishweshwara Temple and left for the Yatra with friends.

His father Nanjundamurthy is a farmer.
