<p class="title">The residents of Om Nagar staged a protest by blocking Sedam road, for around an hour on Friday morning; demanding proper drinking water supply.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The traffic on the busy Sedam Road, part of Waghadhari-Ripponpalli National Highway, was affected following the protest. Police intervened and re-directed the traffic to alternative routes. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The protesters also drew the attention of the city's administration to the poor infrastructure in the area, specifically the underground drainage system.</p>.<p class="bodytext">They refused to withdraw the protest till the arrival of Kalaburagi Mahanagara Palike commissioner.</p>.<p class="bodytext">M B Nagar police told DH that Palike commissioner Raghunandan Murthy visited the spot and assured to solve the residents'problems. Then, the protesters withdrew the protest.</p>
