Dy Speaker unhappy with post

JD(S) MLA from Chintamani J K Krishna Reddy is learnt to have asked his party leadership to relieve him from the post of Assembly Deputy Speaker.

Sources said Reddy has threatened to tender his resignation next week. This, despite both JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda and Chief Minister
H D Kumaraswamy asking him not to do so.

Sources said Reddy continues to be a ministerial aspirant. With the cabinet expansion round the corner, speculations are rife that he might be building pressure on the party to give him a ministerial berth.

Reddy was not available for comment.
