A foreign national has tested positive for Kyasanur Forest Disease (KFD) and is receiving treatment at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Hospital in Manipal.
The woman was visiting tourist spots in Uttara Kannada. As many as 152 patients from Sagar and surrounding areas in Shivamogga were admitted to Kasturba Hospital Manipal with KFD symptoms, out of whom 55 tested positive.
Meanwhile, two persons from Aralagodu in Kargal, Sagar taluk, who tested
positive for KFD, were admitted to KMC Hospital on Sunday.
