<p class="title rtejustify">Forest Minister R Shankar, on Friday, said that he will officially join the Congress party soon.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">He addressed reporters after offering puja to the Dasara elephants at the Mysuru Palace premises.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">Shankar, who won the Assembly election on a Karnataka Pragnyavantha Janatha Party (KPJP) from Ranebennur, extended support to the JD(S)-Congress coalition while forming the government.</p>.<p class="bodytext rtejustify">He said he will join the Congress on an auspicious day. "I have never spoken against the state government and the coalition government is stable," he added.</p>
