HDK presents Dom Moraes book on Karnataka to Modi

Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Monday presented a book, "The Open Eyes: A journey through Karnataka", to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Kumaraswamy presented the book before a meeting with the prime minister to seek more funds to take up relief works in flood-hit areas of Karnataka.

The book is written by Dom Moraes, a renowned poet, columnist and travel writer, and was published by the Karnataka government in 1976.

The illustrations in the book have been done by Mario Miranda, an internationally acclaimed cartoonist and painter. He was a Padma awardee.

The book showcases the rich heritage, culture and art of Karnataka.
