<p>Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Monday presented a book, "The Open Eyes: A journey through Karnataka", to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.</p>.<p>Kumaraswamy presented the book before a <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/state/hdk-led-delegation-meets-modi-692004.html">meeting with the prime minister</a> to seek more funds to take up relief works in flood-hit areas of Karnataka.</p>.<p>The book is written by Dom Moraes, a renowned poet, columnist and travel writer, and was published by the Karnataka government in 1976.</p>.<p>The illustrations in the book have been done by <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/content/212461/magic-mario.html" target="_blank">Mario Miranda</a>, an internationally acclaimed cartoonist and painter. He was a Padma awardee.</p>.<p>The book showcases the rich heritage, culture and art of Karnataka.</p>
