Various parts of Kodagu district received heavy rain coupled with thunder, on Monday evening.
The showers brought joy to coffee growers, as rain is essential for the coffee flowers to bloom.
Heavy showers accompanied with hailstones were witnessed in Madikeri, Appangala, Katakeri, Napoklu, Bhagamandala, and Somwarpet on Sunday night.
Arkalgud town and Mallipattana hobli have also received rains on Sunday night. 20mm rain is recorded in Mallipattana and 5.1mm rain is recorded in Arkalgud.
