The Consulate General of India (CGI) in Hamburg is in touch with the local police after an engineer from Bagalkot went missing in the port city in northern Germany.
Consul General Madan Lal Raigar spoke to the mother of Manjunath Churi and assured her of all possible assistance in tracing her 26-year-old son, who has been pursuing his MSc at a university in Hamburg, but went missing on June 19, sources in New Delhi said.
Raigar and other officials of the Consulate General of India in Hamburg are in touch with the local police as well as university authorities.
The CGI is monitoring the “extensive search” being carried out by Hamburg Police with assistance from Churi's friends and the authorities of Hamburg University, sources added.
