<p>A JD(S) worker was killed in a clash between Congress and JD(S) workers at a bar in Kotaladinne near Hosur in Gauribidanur taluk on Thursday night.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The JD(S) worker who died in the attack was identified as Rama Reddy (27), a resident of Hale Upparahalli village, the police said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">This incident occurred around 9.30 pm. A petty quarrel between Hale Upparahalli resident and rowdy sheeter Ramesh (33) of the Congress and JD(S) workers turned violent. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Ramesh and his followers attacked the victim all of a sudden with lethal weapons. Besides Rama Reddy, Narendra (32), Manjunath (28) and Ambareesh (30) were injured in the clash.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police said Narendra’s condition is serious and he has been shifted to a private hospital in Doddaballapur.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Rama Reddy was to get married on May 5, according to his relatives.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police took Ramesh, who was also injured in the clash, into custody. Protesting against the attack, JD(S) workers smashed the windows of a police jeep. Superintendent of Police Karthik visited the spot. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The Gauribidanur Rural police have registered a case and tightened the security in the town.</p>
