Drinking Water and Sanitation Department secretary Parameswaran Iyer on Thursday said that the base line report indicated that Karnataka would be open defecation free state shortly.
“Vijayapura, Bidar, Raichur and Belagavi districts are yet to achieve 100% target. They will achieve the target by October end leading to the announcement of Karnataka as the open defecation free state,” he told reporeters.
