Inaugurating the State Bank of India Officer’s Association Karnataka zonal conference held at Karnataka Bank Employees Association hall in Mangalore on Sunday, he said that the government should come forth to provide banking services in any place where banking service is required. Handing over this responsibility to private sector banks is incorrect.
The Association expressed its opposition to the merger of banks under State Bank group with State Bank of India. Mangalore Zonal Secretary Sathyanarayana presented the report.
