Govt employees' sports meet

Speaking at the district-level government employees’ sports and cultural meet organised by the district administration in association with Zilla Panchayat, Youth Service and Sports department, Karnataka Government Employees’ Association DK unit here at Mangala Stadium, he said that there are 3,500 government employees in the district but yet the participation of these employees in sports activities has been minimal. More and more employees should take part in the sports meet.

Zilla Panchayat Standing Committee on Education and Health President Eshwar Kateel inaugurated the meet.

ZP in charge CEO Shivarame Gowda, DC’s technical assistant B K Kusumadhara, State Government Employees’ Association President H Sanjeeva and others were present.
More than 500 sports talents took part in the meet. Cultural programmes will be held at Balmatta Government Pre University College on Tuesday at 9 am.
