Music therapy at St Joseph Hospital

The department would be headed by Dr Anil Sangli , a neurosurgeon and S Sripad, a musician and a certified financial planner.

Addressing the media persons here on Wednesday, Dr Anil Sangli said that they had carried out the research on music therapy for the past 12 years and have even presented papers in international seminars on neurology in Japan, China and Malaysia.

The department will be inaugurated on June 25 at the St Mathia’s school auditorium. Medical eduction and district in-charge minister S A Ramdas will be the chief guest  Police Commissioner Sunil Aggarwal and Sunitha Chandrakumar will be the guests of honour.

Senior musician and psychologist Dr Padma Murthy will be felicitated on the occasion.

Articles invited

As part of the 132nd birth anniversary of K H Ramaiah and the 500th birth anniversary of Kempegowda, Karnataka Rajya Vokkaligara Vikasa Vedike has called for articles on K H Ramaiah and Kempegowda for the compilation which will be brought out on this occasion.
Addressing media persons H L Yamuna president of the Vedike also called for recommendations for the felicitation which will be a part of this function, which is scheduled on July 12.
