Khanapur MLA Anjali injured in accident

Congress MLA from Khanapur in Belagavi Dr Anjali Nimbalkar sustained head injuries in a car accident near Solapur in Maharashtra on Friday.

Dr Anjali, wife of Hemanth Nimbalkar, Inspector General of Police, was heading towards Nanded in Maharashtra to take part in the party’s assignment in connection with the Lok Sabha polls.

Dr Anjali, according to sources, sustained head injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Solapur. Her speeding vehicle turned turtle after the driver attempted to avoid collision with another vehicle coming from the opposite side. Two air bags in the SUV opened and Dr Nimbalkar escaped with head injuries. Driver and gunman too suffered minor injuries.
