<p class="title">Miscreants set fire to two cars belonging to the Kolar constituency BJP candidate Omshakti Chalapathy here on Tuesday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Chalapathy had parked both his cars in front of his house in Kataripalya. Police said that cars have been set ablaze at about 3 am. Both cars are completely destroyed. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Chalapathy who is the state BJP Yuva Morcha vice-president, had filed his nomination papers on Monday. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Superintendent of Police Rohini Katoch Sepat visited the spot for an inspection on Tuesday morning.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Chalapathy belongs to the Kuruba community. Present MLA of the constituency, Varthur Prakash of the Namma Congress Paksha also belongs to the same community. </p>.<p class="bodytext">BJP leaders alleged that Varthur Prakash's followers had set fire to the cars to force Omshakti Chalapathy out of the contest and ensure that the Kurba votes remain undivided.</p>
