Antlers, ivory seized at Banavara

The forest department personnel arrested a man and seized antlers and ivory, at Banavara, in Somwarpet taluk.

Acting on a tip-off that a man is engaged in selling antlers and ivory, the officials conducted a raid and arrested B K Prasanna, son of Krishne Gowda of Bettagalale.

Another accused Girish has fled the spot. The officials have seized ivory, antlers and a two-wheeler from the arrested.

The arrested has been remanded in judicial custody.
