KPCC President Dinesh Gundu Rao said a discussion on seat sharing between Congress-JD(S) in the Lok Sabha polls will be held with JD(S)’s Revanna, Vishwanath and Deputy CM Dr G Parameshwara on Monday noon. A first level discussion on the alliance for the election will be held on Monday.

Speaking to reporters during his visit to Mangaluru on Sunday, he said the final discussion will be held in the Coordination Committee meeting. “Our aim is to win the highest number of seats in Karnataka. The final decision on seat sharing will be decided by party High Command,” he added.

On Mandya seat, he said “Sumalatha had spoken to me as well. Till seat sharing is finalised, we can not tell anything. Ambareesh was in Congress. So Sumalatha has expressed her desire to contest from Congress ticket.”

Further, he accused the BJP of engaged in politics in connection with fire mishap at Air Show. It is the Central government’s failure. We were entrusted with law and order and other issues. The BJP had attempted to shift Air Show from Karnataka. I do not understand what MP Shobha Karandlaje speaks. She uses all the issues for political purpose.”

To a query on BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa’s prediction that coalition government will collapse after Lok Sabha election, Gundu Rao said “he does not have any work. If he had any morality, he should have tendered resignation.”
