Kadengodlu Kavya Prashasti of Govinda Pai Samshodhana Kendra and MAHE, Manipal, will be presented to poet Girish Jakapure of Maindargi, Solapur district, Maharashtra.
An expert committee has chosen Jakapure's unpublished collection of poems called ‘Allamana Gazalgalu’ for the award.
A teacher and research scholar, Jakapure has written more than 20 books in different genres of Kannada literature. The award will be presented to him at a programme being planned in August.
