Woman complains against husband, brothers-in-law

A woman has accused her husband Kushal Gowda, husband’s brothers Council Chairperson S L Dharme Gowda and MLC S L Bhoje Gowda of giving life threats to her and has filed a complaint in the office of the Superintendent of Police.

In her complaint, N K Greemi, wife of Kushal Gowda has said that her husband was torturing her mentally and physically on the charges of infidelity. She accused him of doubting her character and neglecting her and her children.

She further said, “My husband has support from his brothers who are politically strong. I had married Kushal Gowda at Mantralaya on June 24, 1986. Ours was a love marriage and there was opposition from my husband’s family for the marriage. My husband was taking care of me in the beginning and later started harassing me. My husband and his brothers are responsible if anything happens to me,” she added and sought protection from the police.

Speaking to DH, SP Harish Pande said that the case will be transferred to the respective police station and an enquiry will be conducted.
