Last Updated 06 January 2013, 17:24 IST

Mysore airport at Mandakalli will resume operations on January 14, almost 14 months after the services at the airport were suspended.

The airport will now have aircraft connecting the city to Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. Flights will operate from the airport every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Airport Director C Manjunath said the 12:30 pm arrival and 1:10 pm departure slots remained vacant after Kingfisher Airlines discontinued operations to the city.

However, it was acquired by SpiceJet, which will start operations on January 14. ATR-72 aircraft with a capacity of 80 seats, owned by SpiceJet, will be the second company after Kingfisher Airlines to operate regular flights from the airport.
