Music Director Arjun Janya suffers minor heart attack

Music director Arjun Janya underwent a coronary angiogram and coronary angioplasty with medicated stent implantation following acute changes in his electrocardiogram (ECG) on Wednesday at 2 am.

Janya visited Apollo BGS Hospital, Mysuru, for a check-up on Sunday. He was admitted as it showed viral gastroenteritis during evaluation by Dr Rajkumar P Wadhwa, chief gastroenterologist.

Janya developed chest pain, back pain and headache on Tuesday night. Further evaluation by Dr Adithya Udupa, cardiologist, revealed acute changes in his ECG and thus the doctors performed coronary angiogram and coronary angioplasty with medicated stent implantation.

According to the doctors, Janya is stable and is under observation. He may be discharged by Friday, the doctor said adding that he needs rest for a couple
of weeks.
