Not yet decided on my next step: Ambareesh

Former minister M H Ambareesh cast his vote at his native Doddarasinakere village, on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters, later, he said, “I have not taken any decision to join or support any other political party. My supporters can choose the party of their wish”.

Replying to a query, Ambareesh said, he has no intention of introducing his son to politics.

“He has other fields to choose. I want my supporters to grow into leaders and they have my support,” he said.

“As I have sought retirement, I don’t represent any party now. There is no need to push my wife or son into politics. I will encourage my supporters. I will be visiting Mandya often,” he
said. Ambareesh reached Doddarasinakere at 4 pm, but there were no Congress leaders or supporters to welcome him. MLA D C Thammanna and his family members received him.
