The State Election Commission (SEC) has postponed upcoming elections to Kushalnagar, Somawarpet and Virajpet town panchayats due to heavy rains in Kodagu district. The election was scheduled to be held on August 31.
However, elections to the remaining 102 urban local bodies will be held as scheduled, according to a release from the SEC. Fresh date of elections for the three town panchayats will be announced in the coming days.
