Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, who has been axed from the Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government, has gone incommunicado from Friday evening.

His supporters in Gokak said that he had been to Bengaluru on Friday itself. But sources said that he has confined himself to his residence and does not want to speak to anyone.

Ramesh Jarkiholi has not been seen much in the district headquarters here since his fallout with the Congress leadership ignited during the tussle with Belagavi Rural MLA Laxmi Hebbalkar over the elections of chairman and deputy chairman of Belagavi Taluk Primary Land Development Bank.

As the news of him beingdropped from the Cabinet spread on Friday, Ramesh has gone incommunicado and his supporters are not revealing his where-abouts.

The sources said that he has been in contact with the Congress MLAs dissatisfied over not being inducted into the Cabinet.

He has been keeping his cards close to his chest and hence, he is not coming out in public, they added.
