Security tightened at Sea Bird naval base

Security has been tightened around Sea Bird naval base near Karwar following serial bomb blasts in Sri Lanka. Steps have been taken to prevent infiltration of terrorists through sea route.

Officials said that the measure had been taken in view of the reports that the terrorists responsible for bloodbath in Sri Lanka may attempt to escape through sea route. The entry of unknown persons into the naval base is totally prohibited.
