A seminar on ‘Freedom from Lifestyle Diseases’ will be organised by the nursing fraternity of Fr Muller’s Medical College Hospital on May 9.
Participants can register their names at cnefmcinsg@fathermuller.in by April 30.
The seminar is being conducted for priests, religious sisters and brothers of the Mangalore Diocese.
The seminar will begin at 7 am, with the collection of blood samples. There will be lectures by experienced and senior consultants of the Hospital on preventive measures for the common lifestyle illnesses, including hypertension and diabetes, tips on coping up with such problems and discussions on types of cancers affecting men and women.
The registration is free and tests such as complete blood count, fasting blood sugar and lipid profile will be administered at the health check-up.
