<p>Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar on Tuesday sought an impartial enquiry into senior Congress leader and MLA M B Patil’s ‘relationship’ with Bengaluru’s notorious history-sheeter ‘Cycle’ Ravi.</p>.<p class="bodytext">M Ravikumar alias ‘Cycle’ Ravi (42), involved in over 30 cases, was shot at and nabbed by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police in Bengaluru on June 27, 2018.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“Patil has spoken to Ravi over 80 times and there should be an impartial enquiry about what he spoke to a rowdy,” Shettar demanded.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The BJP leader urged Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister<br />G Parameshwara to consider charges of phone call transactions between Patil and Ravi seriously and not yield to any pressure in conducting an enquiry against the former minister.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Meanwhile, Patil, the Babaleshwar MLA, said that he would move the court against efforts of linking him with Ravi and those indulging in his character assassination. “I’ve no links with Ravi.<br />I don’t even know him. I’ve never made phone calls to him. Reports aired in a section of media linking me with Ravi are false,” Patil claimed.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“The mobile phone number used to contact Ravi belongs KPCC member Sachidanand, who is my friend and I’ve spoken to Sachidanand and not Ravi” he clarified.</p>
