Discharge of 1.50 lakh cusecs was maintained from the reservoir in the upstream during the adventure trip.

They sailed 16-km distance on the river from the City and reached Kudli, the place where rivers Tunga and Bhadra meet. Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey and Superintendent of Police Murughan were part of the adventure team.

Adventurist A N Vijayendra Rao, who heads Sahasa Samskruta Academy, is navigating the river for the sixth consecutive year to enlighten the people on the need to conserve the environment.
