State govt trying to pass the buck: Shobha

MP Shobha Karandlaje on Sunday said that it was the state government’s failure that resulted in the fire mishap in the airshow. The MP said, “the air show was organised with the help of various departments of the central government. It was the duty of the state government to provide security. The irresponsibility of the state government resulted in the mishap. Now, it is trying to pass the buck. What were the police and the fire service personnel doing?” she said.

She called for a high-level probe into the incident. Shobha said, “I had initiated several development programmes in the district. The party high command will look into all parameters while choosing the candidate to contest the election from Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency.”
