Suryanelli case:Cops search for convict in Mysore

A police team from Kerala arrived here on Wednesday in search of advocate Dharmarajan convicted in Suryanelli gang-rape case.

The case assumes significance with the alleged involvement of incumbent Deputy Chairperson of Rajya Sabha P J Kurien, who was later acquitted by the court.

The four-member special police team formed by Kottayam district administration and led by circle inspector of Ponkunnam, Rajkumar visited a lodge in Boti Bazaar here.

It is suspected that Dharmarajan had stayed in the lodge from February 10.
Kerala police armed with arrest warrant issued by the special court judge Shahjahan traced Dharmarajan to Mysore following his interview to a Malayalam daily having its branch in Bangalore. 

The daily which has recently launched a TV channel aired the interview, only to get the police into action.
